Clinical Features of Adult Male Acne in a Tropical Country: A Prospective Cross-sectional Study

Objective: To evaluate the characteristics of post-adolescent male patients with acne in terms onset condition, its clinical course and severity, behaviors associated severity.
 Materials Methods: A prospective, cross-sectional study was conducted on adult males who visited Siriraj Hospital, Thailand. All aged 21 years older were enrolled. Diagnoses physical examinations performed by dermatologists.
 Results: Seventy-two (mean age, 26.9 [± 4.3] years) included. Persistent acne, relapse late-onset (onset at age ≥ reported 62.5%, 33.3%, 4.2% cases, respectively. tended to subside 26 whereas start 28 age. The severity mild most cases. Pimple-picking, followed frequent face washing, common habits among patients. Shaving influenced some acne.
 Conclusion: Adult commonly presented as inflammatory lesions comedones cheeks. They had an earlier than old continued into adulthood, but be mild. While several factors have been elsewhere involved this found that only shaving severity.
